ICD’s Geospatial Engineering group was established in order to provide seamless delivery of both brownfield and greenfield engineering services. By conducting this service in-house, a higher level of trust is established in the scan data.
Our personnel have comprehensive experience encompassing water, infrastructure, mining and oil & gas, with expertise in land development, infrastructure and mining utilising the latest technologies.
3D Laser Scanning is used by our team to capture smart survey information of complex plant & assets. Millions of 3D points on an object’s surface are captured and each point’s coordinates are recorded, allowing the real surface of an object to be represented in a discrete model with incredible accuracy. 3D laser scanning produces :
• Registered point cloud
• Colourised photogrammetry (photos)
• 3D Modelled objects
• Animations / fly-throughs
• As-built Modelling
• Accurate BIM files
ICD also offers traditional surveying expertise, with extensive experience across a range of residential, retail, commercial and industrial developments:
• Subdivisions and consolidations
• Strata Title
• Easements
• Land development and project management
• Development Applications and rezoning
• Acquisition surveys
• Infrastructure survey and set out
• Utility Investigation
• Control Networks
• Leasing calculations in accordance with PCA Guidelines
ICD are able to undertake scanning of assets from in the air and underwater, using the latest in Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology.
Remote scanning avoids many of the dangers of higher-risk activities including diving and working at heights.
UAVs are able to capture a range of data across a large area quickly and safely, while ROVs can be used for routine or urgent inspections, as in the case of a vessel colliding with a bridge.
